Our Treatment Process
Every smile is different. Here's how we approach treatment with braces from start to finish.
Initial Evaluation
We start with a thorough exam, including X-rays and photos, to get a complete picture of your teeth, jaw, and bite. This gives us what we need to recommend the right type of braces and build a treatment plan tailored to them.
Communication & Education
We'll walk you through exactly what we found and what treatment will look like. From how long to expect treatment to last, to what to eat and how to care for their braces, we make sure you leave feeling both informed and confident about the road ahead.
Braces Treatment
First, braces will be placed and aligned for your specific treatment plan. Once braces are placed, we'll schedule regular adjustment appointments to keep things moving on track. Our team is always available to address any discomfort, answer questions, or make changes as needed throughout the process.
Monitoring & Follow-Up
We'll check in regularly to track progress and make sure treatment is developing as planned. Once braces come off, we'll transition you into a retainer to protect the results and keep your smile in place long term.
Types of Braces
Not all braces are the same. Depending on your needs, goals, and lifestyle, we may recommend one of the following:
Traditional Metal Braces
The most common and time-tested option, metal braces are highly effective for treating a wide range of orthodontic concerns. Today's metal braces are smaller, more comfortable, and more efficient than ever, making them a reliable choice for adults at any stage of treatment.
Clear/Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces work the same way as metal braces but use tooth-coloured brackets that blend in with the smile. They're a great option for adults who want effective treatment without the look of traditional metal hardware.
Self-Ligating Braces

Lingual Braces

How Long Does Treatment Take?
Most patients complete braces treatment within 18 to 24 months, though this varies depending on the complexity of the case. We'll give you a more accurate estimate after your initial evaluation.
What Happens After Braces?
Getting your braces off is a big milestone, but it's not quite the finish line. Keeping your smile in place after treatment is just as important as the treatment itself.
Retainers
Once braces come off, we'll fit you for a custom retainer. Retainers hold the teeth in their new positions while the surrounding bone and tissue settle. Skipping this step is the most common reason teeth shift back, so we take it seriously and we make sure you understand why it matters.
