Invisalign First™

Invisalign® Aligners for Kids

Invisalign First™ is designed for children who may benefit from early orthodontic treatment. Even with baby teeth still present, children between the ages of 6 and 10 may be good candidates. Starting at this stage allows us to guide jaw and arch development before permanent teeth fully come in, which can reduce the complexity of treatment later on.

Our Treatment Process

From your child's first visit to their final smile, we make every step simple and stress-free.

Invisalign First™

Initial Evaluation

We start with a thorough exam, including images and photos, to get a clear picture of your child's jaw width, bite, and overall development. This helps us determine whether a palate expander is the right fit and, if so, the best time to begin.

Communication & Education

We'll walk you through exactly what we found and if Invisalign First™ may be recommended. You'll leave knowing how the Invisalign works, what to expect during treatment, and how to care for the trays at home.

Invisalign Treatment

Once we move forward, your child's Invisalign First™ trays will be custom fitted and gradually adjusted over time to gently adjust their bite. Most children adapt quickly, and our team will be with you throughout the process to answer questions and make any necessary adjustments along the way.

Monitoring & Follow-up

We'll schedule regular check-ins to track your child's progress and ensure treatment is developing as planned. We'll monitor the jaw as it stabilizes before moving into the next phase of their treatment.

What is the difference between Invisalign First and regular Invisalign?

Invisalign First is specifically designed for growing children and can accommodate mixed teeth — meaning a combination of baby and permanent teeth — which standard Invisalign does not.

Will my child need braces after Invisalign First?

Phase 1 treatment addresses early developmental concerns, but most children will still benefit from Phase 2 treatment or standard Invisalign® once their permanent teeth have fully erupted. We'll reassess at the right time.

How long does treatment usually take?

Treatment length varies depending on the case, but Phase 1 typically ranges from 6 to 18 months. We'll give you a more accurate timeline after your child's evaluation.

What if my child loses an aligner?

Let us know as soon as possible. We can advise whether to move to the next aligner in the series or order a replacement, depending on where your child is in treatment.
